Labour Party governorship candidate in Oyo State, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala has said that he is not bothered by the postponement of the general elections to March 28 and April 11.
Speaking through his director of public affairs, Oludare Ogunlana, Akala, who was a former governor of the state, boasted that he was going to win the election “any day any time the election is held.”
He said: “Though we would have loved the election to hold but since it has been postponed, we will abide by that. Nigeria is greater than all of us and we cannot allow it to disintegrate. It is unfortunate but we hope that the May 29th handing over date remains sacrosanct.”
He called on residents of the state to use the opportunity of the shift to pick their permanent voter cards in order to guarantee their participation in the election
