Arsenal Chief Executive Officer, Ivan Gazidis, has resigned. The club confirmed the resignation on Tuesday, saying he is moving out of the Emirates to take up a new role with AC Milan. He will leave October 31 and resume in Italy December 1.
According to Arsenal, Head of Football Relations, Raul Sanllehi will take on a new role as Head of Football while Vinai Venkatesham will become Managing Director. The office of Chief Executive remains vacant but Josh Kroenke, son of majority owner Stan, is strong favorite to take the seat.
This reflects the ongoing structural and managerial changes started in Arsenal in the twilight of Arsene Wenger’s reign as manager.
Reports say Gazidis who earned £2.6million a year as salary at Arsenal will now get 3.6million a year which includes an equity stake in Milan.
