Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Gen. Muhammadu Buhari has yet again turned down another presidential debate invitation, this time, from Channels TV in conjunction with Newspapers Proprietors Association of Nigeria (NPAN) and Arise TV.
It is the second time in a week the general has declined invitations to presidential debates. He had last week said he would not attend the presidential debate being organised by the Nigeria Electoral Debate Group (NEDG) in Abuja.
APC’s director of Strategy, Dele Alake, speaking on Channels’ Sunrise Daily, said that Buhari will not be attending the debate because the party believes some media organizations have been compromised.
The debate is scheduled to hold February 3rd.
