English Premier League side, Chelsea, are pulling the plug on their TV channel, Chelsea TV.
According to Evening Standard Sports reporter, Simon Johnson, programming will stop on the channel on July 1, 2019.
Reports however have it that broadcasting of Chelsea TV content will not cease completely as content will remain on the club’s 5th stand app and website.
It is understood that Chelsea TV is only stopping broadcast on regular television as it is leaving Sky cable TV, on which it has been operating since August 2001.
Chelsea TV, a subscription based sports TV channel, is dedicated to the fans of the club. It currently broadcasts live daily from 10am to midnight from its studios at Stamford Bridge.
