The Department of State Services(DSS) on Friday attempted to rearrest the convener of #RevolutionNow protest, Omoyele Sowore and his co-defendant, Olawale Bakare, within the courtroom.
Recall that the DSS was forced to release the activist on bail on Thursday following a 24-hour ultimatum by Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu.
According to SaharaReporters, as the drama unfolded on Friday, the DSS operatives also chased away the presiding judge, Justice Ojukwu and assaulted a journalist in their bid to rearrest the duo.
Reacting to the development, Sowore said the DSS operatives who appeared to be laying an ambush for him ahead of the close of the Friday’s proceedings, were on the move to kill him.
Sowore, Bakare and the DSS operatives remained in the courtroom and the situation is unclear
