The National Assembly has released new guidelines that will make it difficult for reporters to cover plenary and other parliamentary activities.
In a statement signed by the National Assembly’s Director of Information, media organisations that wish to cover parliamentary sittings from June 11, 2019 when the 9th National Assembly must have been inaugurated must meet the following conditions:
- Produce a copy of their income tax returns for the last two years
- Produce a Code of Certification from the National Library for their media house.
- Must have a minimum of two years experience in covering the National Assembly
