The Chairman of All Progressives Congress(APC) in Ekiti state, Barrister Paul Omotosho, has congratulated Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello and Chief David Lyon, the Bayelsa State Governor-elect over their victories in last Saturday’s governorship election in their respective states.
Omotosho said that the present winning streak being enjoyed by the APC in the country’s political landscape is as a result of proactive and efficient leadership being provided at the centre.
The chairman who doubles as Special Adviser on Political Matters to Governor Kayode Fayemi said: “The outcome of the elections, especially in Bayelsa State, has further demonstrated the fact that no state in the federation will like to continue with the impunity and government by deceit being offered by the opposition, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).”
Omotosho stated that he sympathised with the states that are “still in bondage”, adding that they would soon be liberated.
He also promised that the forthcoming local government election in Ekiti State will further consolidate the chain of victories, saying “APC is determined to sweep all the 16 local councils.”
“APC has proved to Nigerians beyond reasonable doubt that it has come to put an end to the antics of the PDP in its bid to turn Nigeria to a sterile and hopeless state,” he added.
