The Ekiti State government has expressed readiness to partner with both local and international organizations as well as private individuals for cultural exchange and promotion.
Director-General of the Ekiti State Council of Arts and Culture, Mr. Wale Ojo Lanre disclosed this in his office in Ado-Ekiti on Thursday while hosting Mr and Mrs Festus Omoyajowo, the founders of Tiwani Tiwalasa, an international cultural group.
His words: “In Ekiti, we are people of great virtue, hardwork and integrity and we cannot afford to allow these good virtues to be eroded away. That is why Governor Kayode Fayemi is bent on restoring the values and promote the Arts .
In their remarks, the proprietors of Tiwani Tiwalasa said their mission is to collaborate with government on cultural, and educational exchange, travel and tourism and others
They disclosed that they are opening an office in Ado Ekiti where the group can operate and assist individuals while working with government to showcase, promote and develop cultural values with the intention of bridging the gap between the young and the old and Nigeria and the international community.”
The Council’s permanent secretary, Mr Tijani Ibraheem in his own remarks said the council’s door is opened to anyone who is willing to work towards the realization of Governor Fayemi’s five point agenda.
