A colloquium in honour of former governor of Osun State, Chief Bisi Akande, who turns 80 today, is holding at the Professor Oladipo Ogunlesi multipurpose hall, opposite University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan.
The theme of the colloquium is Nigeria: Achieving national unity through peaceful restructuring.
The keynote speaker is the Kaduna State governor and Chairman APC committee on restructuring, Malam Nasir el-Rufai while the discussants are former Senate President, Senator Ken Nnamani; Prof Adigun Agbaje of the Department of Political Science, University of Ibadan and Senator Olu Adetumbi, Secretary APC committee on restructuring.
Chairman of the occasion is Vice president Yemi Osinbajo while former Lagos governor and a national leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is the special guest of honour.
Dignitaries already present include the Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi; Deputy Governor of Osun State, Mr. Benedict Alabi; Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Idiat Adebule and the Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed.
Others are former governor of Ekiti State, Otunba Niyi Adebayo; the Minister of Health, Professor Isaac Adewole; the Orangun of Ila, Oba Adedokun Abolarin, Prof. Olu Aina and Prof. Sola Adeyeye.
