Former governor of Oyo State and Osi Olubadan of Ibadan land, Senator Rashidi Ladoja, has dismissed reports making the rounds that he had quit politics.
While speaking to journalists in Ibadan on Sunday, Ladoja said he would not sit idly while the suffering masses of the state are deprived of developmental politics.
He dispelled the insinuations that he had quit politics, adding that the news was a needless and unsubstantiated one being fed to the unsuspecting public.
The Osi Olubadan wondered why his statement prior to the 2019 electioneering campaign that he would not contest the governorship election could be misconstrued many months after.
His words: “Is it possible for someone to retire from politics.
“Are you not a politician, so, what are they talking about.
“All I said was that I am not contesting again. Is that retirement? That is not retirement.
“I said I am not contesting again but I will always go for developmental politics. Whether I am in partisan or non-partisan politics.
“If there are any developmental politics, I will always go for it anywhere in Nigeria. So, it is not a question of ‘siddon-look’, I am not ‘siddon looking.”
