Online media platform, Ibadan Media, in conjunction with Pixels Digital Photography is organizing a Journalists’ Hangout, a talk/discussion show that will bring together media practitioners from various media outfits to network, have a professional discussion, analyse and express opinion on salient societal issue.
The event, scheduled to hold on Sunday July 28, 2019 at Kakanfo Inn and Conference Centre, Ibadan, would have Mr. Tunde Busari, the NUJ Chairman of the Tribune Chapel delivering a paper while Mr. Taiwo Adisa, the Chief Press Sexretary to Oyo State governor, will deliver a keynote address. The discussants are Mr. Olayinka Agboola, publisher of pmparrot.com and Parrotxtra magazine; Mr. Bisi Oladele, the city editor and South-West Bureau Chief of the Nation newspaper; Dr. Bayo Faleke of Fresh FM and Mr. Demola Babalola of Punch Newspaper.
The theme of this years’ discussion according to the convener and publisher of Ibadan media, Ola, O. Olanrewaju is ‘Online Journalism: Professional’s concern for the ethical standard’. The foremost digital photography outfit, Pixels would also introduce and outline its plans for aspiring photo-journalists. The CEO of the outfit, Omolaraeni Olaosebikan, said a course of study for professional photographers aspiring to become photo-journalists, have been put together.
