Renowned rapper, Shawn Carter a.k.a Jay Z on Saturday criticised US President Donald Trump on CNN. And on Sunday, he got a response from the President who reacted on Twitter.
Jay Z, during an interview on The Van Jones Show on CNN, slammed Trump for calling some African countries “shithole” and for claiming that unemployment among the black American population was at an all-time low
Jay Z said: “Everyone feels anger. After the anger, it’s really hurtful because he’s like looking down on a whole population of people.
“You are so misinformed because these places have beautiful people and beautiful everything.”
Jay Z did not debunk Trump’s claim on African-American unemployment rate, but he said: “It’s not about money at the end of the day. Money doesn’t equate to happiness. It doesn’t. That’s missing the whole point. You treat people like human beings, that’s the main point.”
Then Trump, took to Twitter to tweet: “Somebody please inform Jay-Z that because of my policies, black unemployment has just been reported to be at the lowest rate ever recorded.
“Our economy is better than it has been in many decades. Businesses are coming back to America like never before. Chrysler, as an example, is leaving Mexico and coming back to the USA. Unemployment is nearing record lows. We are on the right track.”
