Kayode Sule, son of the Chief Medical Director (CMD), Lafia hospital, Apata Ibadan, and two other staff of the hospital, who were waylaid and abducted along Lagos-Ibadan expressway, have regained their freedom.
Newspeakonline gathered that Kayode, Dele Adigun and Opeyemi Abifarin were released on Friday night by bandits numbering about 15.
A source said Kayode was released with gunshot wound on the leg and is receiving medical treatment.
It has not been confirmed if the N50million ransom earlier demanded by the kidnappers was paid for the release.
When contactedpolice source at the Oyo state command said, the scene where the captives were taken was not within Oyo state police command.
The trio were kidnapped around 7pm last Tuesday at Ogumakin area of the Lagos- Ibadan expressway axis of Ogun State while returning from Lagos where they had gone to make medical purchases for the hospital.
