Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde on Wednesday appointed a former Minority Whip in the House of Representatives, Hon. Babatunde Oduyoye as his Special Adviser on Strategy and Political Matters.
A statement by the Chief Press Secretary(CPS)to the Governor, Mr. Taiwo Adisa said the appointment came following the approval granted to the Governor by the State House of Assembly for the appointment of 12 Special Advisers.
The statement further stated that Oduyoye is expected to bring his over 30 years of political experience as a national leader of the Alliance for Democracy (AD), an Afenifere chieftain and a former member of the House of Representatives into his new office.
The new Special Adviser holds a Masters degree in Peace and Conflict Studies and a Bachelor in Psychology from the University of Ibadan.
He represented Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives between 1999 and 2007 and he is the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, Majerita Group of companies.
