Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has hailed the Olubadan of Ibadan Oba Saliu Adetunji and his high chiefs, for the ongoing reconciliation between them.
The governor gave the commendation during his welcome speech at the ongoing South West security meeting at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan.
Newspeakonline reported earlier that the chiefs accompanied the Olubadan to the event without wearing their crowns, pointing to the fact that they had given in to the monarch’s conditions for peace and a return to the palace.
“In the entourage of the Olubadan, I can see the high chiefs. I think it is a positive development in Oyo State. We are talking about security here; and I think it is part of what will help overall security of the society,” Makinde said while openimg his speech.
