Several African migrants have been injured in Italy after a man opened fire from his car as drove around the town of Macerata, central Italy.
Daily Star reports that there were reportedly two people in the car – a black Alfa Romeo – and they are still on the run.
Mayor Romano Carancini has warned residents to stay inside until the shooter is tracked down.
He said: “Stay at home until further notice. There is an armed man in a car who is shooting in the city.”
Local media reports said the man shot at two young African migrants. Another migrant and an African woman were reportedly shot shortly afterwards.
According to UK medium, Daily Star the shootings took place just days after the body of an 18-year-old Italian woman was discovered cut up and hidden in two suitcases.
A Nigerian migrant was arrested in connection with her death.
