The Executive Chairman of the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State(BCOS), Prince Dotun Oyelade, has stated that his coming to the corporation was to reposition the media outfit to be at par with her competitors and enhance staff career development.
Oyelade said this on Monday at his maiden general meeting with members of staff of the corporation.
He said the coverage area of the state-owned media outfit would be improved upon, such that the TV and Radio signals will cover the entire state very soon.
Oyelade regretted that currently, the TV and the radio channels are currently operating at 10% of their potentials, stressing however, that the state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde has given the mandate for a total turn around of the corporation.
The new chairman promised to run an open door policy, adding that observations, ideas and suggestions are welcomed from staff members.
During the interactive session, members of staff enumerated some of the challenges facing the media organisation as well as their expectations from the state government.
