Osun State governor, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola has pledged to continue payment of full salaries to all levels of workers in the state.
A statement by the Chief Press Secretary(CPS) to the governor, Ismail Omipidan, said Oyetola stated this at the swearing-in of Mr. Wahab Adewoyin, who is the Executive Secretary of Osun State Independent Electoral Commission(OSIEC), as a Permanent Secretary.
The governor also assured the workers of prompt promotions, as well as training and retraining for effective and efficient service delivery as part of efforts to motivate them to give their best at all times.
He promised the workers that his government would reward civil servants found to be diligent, loyal and committed to duties, adding that more permanent secretaries would soon be appointed.
Oyetola said the appointment of Adewoyin as Permanent Secretary was a demonstration of his administration’s commitment to rewarding hard work.
“To us as a government, we shall continue to champion things that can make life abundant, meaningful and rewarding for every citizen, especially the workforce.
“We will continue to ensure the payment of full salaries to all levels of workers, we will continue to ensure prompt promotions as well as encourage workers’ training and retraining for effective and efficient service delivery,” the governor said.
