Few hours after former Oyo State governor Adebayo Alao-Akala, agreed to dump his governorship bid and work for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state in the March 9 governorship election, reports have it that his son, Olamiju Alao-Akala, who was recently suspended as chairman of Ogbomoso North Local Government, has been reinstated.
Oyo Insight quoted a top state government official as saying: “it was from the ministry of local government and chieftaincy matters that he collected the letter from. He will resume office on Monday.”
Recall that Olamiju was removed as council boss days after he dumped the APC to work for his father’s governorship campaign in the Action Democratic Party (ADP).
It is understood that part of the deal for which the senior Alao-Akala decided to dump his governirship ambition to work for the APC candidate, was the renstatement of his son n addition to yet to be disclosed agreements.
