The Action Democratic Party (ADP) in Oyo State has suspended its chairman, Chief Folaranmi Owolabi.
The suspension was conveyed to him in a letter sent to him on Friday night, a copy of which was signed by Lati Arowosaye, the national vice chairman, South-West of the party, and made available to newsmen.
The party accused Owolabi of “Anti Party Activities, Mis-Appropriation of Party Funds, Unholy Alliance with Rival Political Parties, Divulging Sensitive and Classified Information to Rival Political Parties, Using your Office to cause Division and unhealthy Rivalry within the Rank and File of Party faithfuls, Extorting Candidates of the Party for Personal gains against the spirit of Ethoes of the Party Constitution, Amongst many others.”
The party directed Owolabi to handover all the properties of the party in his possession to the State Working Committee pending the time the disciplinary committee of the party will look into the allegations levelled against him.
