Oyo State Governor-elect, Engr. Seyi Makinde, on Monday stated that the unabated kidnapping, insecurity and rising unemployment in the country deserves the collective efforts of Nigerians in terms of prayers and hard work.
In a release signed by his spokesperson, Prince Dotun Oyelade, Makinde urged Muslim faithfuls in Oyo state and Nigeria as a whole to work and pray for the progress of the state and the country, especially as the holy month of Ramadan begins.
According to him, “hard work and prayers are the only way out of this untold dilemma in which we have found ourselves.”
Makinde prayed to Allah that this year’s Ramadan activities will greatly reduce all vices that are inimical to the progress and unity of the country
