The Ajou University in Suwon, South Korea, has named one of its seminar halls after Nigeria’s First Lady, Mrs. Aisha Muhammadu Buhari.
According to a statement by the her media aide, Suleiman Haruna, Mrs. Buhari would also be invested with a World Leadership Award by the university for her humanitarian activities on Tuesday, August 14, 2018. She will also commission the hall named after her.
The statement also said that on Monday August 13, 2018, Mrs Buhari will be decorated with a Doctorate in Humanity (Honoris Causa) by Sun Moon University, Asan, South Korea.
The letter conveying the award, which was presented by Professor Hong Young-Shik at the State House, recently, states, “I have been directed to notify you, Your Excellency, on the decision of the University to confer on you, a meritorious Doctor of Humanity (Hon. Causa).”
The letter indicated that recommendations came from various sources and these were verified.
“Your humanitarian activities have caught the attention of the world and the Senate of the Sun Moon University, especially your outstanding work with women and children through Future Assured Programme” the letter added.
According to a programme released by the University, Mrs. Buhari would be invested at the International Conference Hall of the University.
