Barcelona legend, Xavi Hernandez, has formally announced his retirement from football.
He made the announcement on Thursday, saying “this is my last season as a player, but I’m looking forward to seeing what the future holds for me as a coach.”
In 2015, the Spaniard, announced his exit from Barcelona after 14 illustrious years. He joined Qatari Club, Al Sadd SC, on a three year contract, with his agent saying the deal would involve the central midfielder becoming an ambassador for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in the country, and also begin his coaching qualifications.
