The management of the Kaduna State College of Education, Gidan Waya, has ordered immediate closure of the institution following a violent protest by students over alleged shift in examination date.
In a statement Tuesday, Acting Head of Information/Public Relation of the college, Danladi Aduwu said the school would remain closed till further notice.
It urged students to vacate the college premises immediately.
“The protest was led by 300 level students who felt the planned shift in examination date was not favourable to them.
“We also hear rumours about plans to increase tuition fees and these aggravated the already frustrated students,” a student told Daily Trust on condition of anonymity.
