The Association of Local Government of Nigeria(ALGON), Oyo State Chapter, has mourned the death of the pioneer chairman of Asabari local council development area, Alhaji Kareem Adegoke.
Adegoke, a former vice chairman and later caretaker chairman of Saki West local government died yesterday evening.
In a statement on Wednesday by ALGON chairman in the state, Prince Ayodeji Abass-Aleshinloye,the body commiserated with the family and members of the All Progressives Congress(APC) in the state over Adegoke’s death.
” We at ALGON acknowledged the value and contribution of the chairman when he was alive. He displayed rare sense of commitment, creative in the discharge of his responsibilities and contributed in no small measure to the growth and development of the ALGON body in Oyo State.
“At this moment, our hearts and prayers are with his family and the entire memebers.of our forum in the state.
“We pray the Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings, make Aljanah Fridaus his permant abode and also console all those he left behind,” the statement read.
